Attendees at the Prolight + Sound 2018 show in Germany later this month will be able to see the latest in LED display screens, as LED manufacturer Absen has announced plans to demonstrate new technology during the four-day event.
Absen Europe will feature its NXTGEN technologies at the leading trade fair, which is being held at Messe Frankfurt this week (April 10th and 13th).
This includes its new Chip-on-Board Advanced Light Technology (Cobalt) platform, its Chip-on-Board encapsulation, NanoShield technologies, and High Brightness Black with Common Cathode LED driver solutions.
These are from its Polaris and Altair ranges, with the former featuring mechanical improvements including Auto-Lock, Auto-Eject and Fast-Switch curve locking systems. It also has Anti-Collision PCB technology, premium black LED, 18bit image processing and high-grade SPWM driver technology.
Comparatively, Altair will be better used for touring and large screen events. This is due to its light weight, coming in at less than 19 kg per square metre and having a carbon fibre LightFrame that weighs less than 10 kg per square metre.
It has 90-degree corners, is available in 600 by 1200 mm and 600 by 600 mm variations, and provides minus 15 to plus 15 degrees of curve.
The forthcoming Prolight + Sound international trade event is very important to the technology sector in Europe, and last year it saw 45,100 people attend. As many as 54 per cent of these were from outside of Germany, proving just how popular the technology exhibition is throughout the continent and beyond.
