The growing move towards smart cities, along with general urbanisation, is what’s pushing the external LED display market, a new report suggests.
Coherent Market Insights noted that the growing demand for smart and intelligent display systems is “further boosting the growth of the outdoor LED display market”.
It is predicting that, by 2025, this market will be worth $40 billion globally, and that the sector will experience a compound annual growth rate of 9.56 per cent between 2017 and 2025.
Other reasons for the rising use of LED displays in outdoor settings include their energy efficiency, longer lifetime, design flexibility and HD resolution, the organisation suggested.
What’s more, “increased demand for advertising boards, video walls, stadium screens, perimeter boards and scoreboards is expected to boost the growth of the outdoor LED market size”, the report stated.
As a business, if you don’t already make use of LED displays you may want to start thinking about how you can incorporate them into your premises. They can be used for a range of purposes, from advertising to displaying important information.
To see where the evolution of LED displays might be going, you only have to look to the rollout of new screens recently undertaken by Carphone Warehouse across its UK stores. Among them is a super-bright LED screen that’s been installed at its Tottenham Court Road premises.
According to AV Magazine, this is one of the brightest LED screens you can see in the UK at present, so it could be worth paying a visit to the brand’s flagship store if you’re interested in seeing how LED displays are developing.
